- Who Should Attend: New and experienced coaches who coach AAASP teams
Coach Ron Lykins brings an unparalleled level of experience to the court. As the Head Coach of the University of Missouri Wheelchair Basketball Team, and the only coach to have led both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s teams to Paralympic Gold medals, his leadership and insight are unmatched. He is known not only for his tactical expertise but also for his inclusive, athlete-centered coaching philosophy.
The clinic will focus on the following:
- In-depth sessions on wheelchair basketball rules, drills, and team strategy
- Inclusive coaching techniques for working with athletes of all ability levels
- Hands-on demonstrations and scrimmage observation
- Q&A with Coach Lykins and networking with other coaches
- Tools to build or enhance your own wheelchair basketball program and more!
This clinic is designed to empower coaches with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to lead adaptive teams effectively—whether at the community, school, or elite level.
