Student Athlete Najee Smothers has been recognized as one of the world’s elite adapted sports athletes — recently earning a silver medal in Egypt for the U.S. National Wheelchair Handball Team… seems like a dream after his first days on the Druid Hills Middle School basketball court all those years ago, learning the sport of handball with the DeKalb Silver Streaks, through the American Association of AdaptED Sports.
