In this season of year-end giving, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued support in celebration of our 25th year of interscholastic wheelchair sports, and ask that you keep AAASP in mind as you finish your year out strong! We are committed to support student athletes in their quest to play and compete in interscholastic sports….won’t you consider a gift of $25 in honor of our 25th year?

We’d like to introduce you to Mike Phillips of Gwinnett County Schools. He was named the 2021 ASPIRE Award’s Recipient for Outstanding School-Based Program Award, Gwinnett Heat! Mike, like our many AAASP members, continue to inspire us each day to do the work we do!

“I’ve been with the program since it started 14 years ago and I tell the kids all the time that I love them. We use athletics to teach them lessons of life, to grow and mature them so they can be successful after our program. I really care about them and I want what’s best for them.”
