Atlanta, April 1, 2017 – The American Association of Adapted Sports Programs, Inc. is honored to welcome Sandy Searcy of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) to the AAASP Board of Directors. Her nomination was confirmed at the AAASP Board of Directors Meeting held on February 22, 2017. Sandy Searcy has an extensive knowledge of various sports platforms and we are pleased to partner with her on Adapted Sports programs.
Sandy Searcy joined the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) staff as director of sports on
August 1, 2015. She is responsible for the sports of swimming and diving, water polo and softball, and assists in planning for the NFHS Summer Meeting, the National Athletic Directors Conference, the NFHS Student Leadership Summit, and is involved with the NFHS inclusion initiative.
Sandy also serves on multiple national committees and boards, including the Amateur Softball Association (ASA/USA) Council, ASA/USA Equipment Testing and Certification Committee, USA Diving Board of Directors, and the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations Committee.
