Atlanta, May 4, 2022 – The AAASP/GHSA Wheelchair Football State Championships, both JV and Varsity will take place this weekend, Saturday May 7th, in Clayton County. Come join adapted sports athletes from across Georgia as they compete for the AAASP/GHSA state title!

Here are the Wheelchair Football Championship Schedules for 5-7:
JV and Varsity Championship Games – hosted by Clayton County Public Schools at: Mundy’s Mill High School, 9652 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, GA 30238.

Varsity Games – Main Gym

  • 10:00 am-11:30 pm Game #1 – Varsity Semi
    DeKalb Silver Streaks  vs. West GA Wolverines
  • 12:00 pm-1:30 pm Game #2 – Varsity Semi
    Clayton Eagles vs.  Houston Sharks
  • 2:00 pm-3:30 pm – Game #3 – Varsity Finals
    Winner of Game #1 vs. Winner of Game #2

Junior Varsity Games – Auxiliary Gym

The AAASP/GHSA Wheelchair Football Regular Season finished up last weekend – here are the end of season standings going into the Championships this weekend:

Varsity:‬

  • 1st place – Houston Sharks
  • 2nd – West Georgia Wolverines
  • 3rd – DeKalb Silver Streaks
  • 4th –‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ Clayton Eagles

Junior Varsity:‬

  • 1st place – Gwinnett Heat
  • 2nd place – Houston Jr. Sharks
