  • Wheelchair Basketball Camp begins daily @ 10:00 am

Participants:

  • The camp is open to all youth ages 9-19
  • Athletes who participate in an AAASP program in the state of GA.
  • All campers must be independent in performing all activities of daily living.  No attendant care or interpreters will be provided by AAASP. We strongly recommend you bring your own basketball chair. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need a basketball chair as we have a limited number available to loan.

Purpose:

This camp focuses on individual fundamental skill development and strategies in team play.  Players participate in skill developing drills, controlled scrimmages and games that emphasize the skills and concepts taught by the AAASP coaches.

Fees:

ATHLETE/CAMPER- $75

  • Fees include: lunch, camp apparel, instruction, insurance, and administrative cost

Refunds* - All monies less $25 non-refundable administrative fee will be refunded for medical reasons only. A letter of explanation must be included with the request for a refund. The request must be received prior to the start of camp.

Staff:

The camp is led by Ron Lykins, the University of Missouri head coach and former United States Men’s and Women’s National Team coach.

Staff members include coaches and players who are experienced at the intercollegiate and international level.

COACHES CLINIC DETAILS:

  • Hosted by former Paralympic  Coach Ron Lykins-  and will focus on Coaching Strategies and Wheelchair Skills.
  • Mr. Barry Ewing, from Eagle Sportschairs will do a presentation on Wheelchair Sizing and Maintenance.
  • Lunch will be provided.
