The Summer GAEL Conference was held July 9 – July 12 in Jekyll Island, GA.
The American Association of AdaptED Sports Programs was invited to participate this year — and involved the Houston County Sharks in a short wheelchair handball demonstration. After the demonstration, athletes were invited to speak to the group of Administrators and Educators from across the state of Georgia. They spoke about how being apart of adapted sports has enhanced their lives. AAASP representatives were on hand at the conference exhibiting and speaking with conference attendees and sharing information about AAASP.
The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) was established in 1974 with a mission to improve public education in Georgia through high quality leadership development, advocacy and a resource network for educational leaders. Their vision is to be the premier network for educational leaders in Georgia.
