Rena Marroquin, Accounting Manager for the American Association of Adapted Sports, Programs (AAASP), brings 40 years of experience in various fields of Accounting.
For over eighteen years , Rena worked at the Art Institute of Atlanta, assisting students as Financial Aid Advisor, Assistant Financial Aid Director, and Financial Aid Director. She has worked as Financial Aid Advisor at DeVry Institute; General Accounting Manager, Travel Manager, Budget Manager at Rich’s (now Macy’s) Department Stores; Media Buyer at Clinton E. Frank Advertising Agency, Los Angeles; Stock and Bonds Transfer Clerk at Chase Bank, New York and Walston & Company, Los Angeles; Accounting Manager, WIS-TV, Columbia, S. C.; Office Assistance, Fahnestock & Co., New York; Secretary, S. C. State University, Orangeburg, S.C.
Rena has traveled to Russia with Art History students; Israel, Jordan, Korea as an Ambassador For Peace; Morocco, Spain, Gibraltar, Turkey as an interfaith advocate; did a study tour of Morocco with the Smithsonian Institute; mission work in Haiti with church members, vacationed in Mexico, and lived in Guatemala.
She has an Associate Degree in Accounting from Midland Tech, Columbia, South Carolina, a Certificate in Secretarial Bookkeeping from Denmark Technical College, (formerly S. C. Area Trade School), Denmark, S. C., where the students practical training were as bookkeepers for the Institute.
Rena enjoys living with and assisting her daughter and son–in–law with the care of her grandson and granddaughter. Rena continues to enjoy travel in her spare time and remains in the many activities and mission of her church family.
